Solutions for the processing of larger blades
|
The proposed solution for the processing of larger blades is,instead, rather different.
The product designed to meet these larger production requirements is the ‘gantry system’; here, the robot is installed in an upside-down position, has an extensive operating range
and can be used to coat very large items without having to move them.
To eliminate any signifcant robot downtimes, installation is carried out in two separate areas so as to divide the gelcoat/paint spraying stage from the fnishing/polymerisation one.
If a primer that cannot be sanded is used it is possible to paint and, at the same time, proceed with polymerisation and cooling, all in about an hour and a half.
Such a system can - completely automatically – produce two blades every eight hours.
A gantry-mounted infra-red drying system placed immediately downstream from the spraying gantry, together with the use of appropriate paints, would allow cycle times to be reduced further, even by 50%.
